A Word From a Friend, Thank You Greg!

When someone you care about is facing kidney failure, the world quietly shifts. Every day becomes a balance of treatments, waiting, and hoping. Right now, there is an extraordinary person living in that space and it is someone whose life has been defined not by illness, but by kindness, resilience, and the way they show up for others.

They are the kind of person who remembers the small things, who lifts others when they’re struggling, who gives without ever asking for anything in return. A friend, a family member, a steady presence in people’s lives. The kind of person who makes the world feel a little better just by being in it.

And now, they need help.

A kidney transplant isn’t just a medical procedure but it’s a second chance at life. It’s more time with loved ones, more laughter, more ordinary moments that suddenly mean everything. But that chance depends on someone stepping forward to get tested.

Getting tested doesn’t mean you’re committing to donate. It simply means you’re willing to see if you could help. It’s a quiet, powerful act of compassion, one that could change, or even save, a life.

Most of us hope that if we were ever in this position, someone would consider doing the same for us.

So this is a sincere ask:

If you are able, please consider getting tested. Share this message. Talk to others. Be part of the possibility.

Because for someone who has given so much to others, this is a moment where the community can give something back which is hope, time, and the chance to keep living a full and meaningful life.

Please consider helping my wonderful amazing friend who means the world to me, Ms. Lillian Rose

My Closing Thoughts

My husband and I created this website to help me find the kidney I desperately need to live.  With your help perhaps I can reach that destination through a donation made by you or by someone you direct to this website.  As we developed this website we discovered the benefit of the journey to get to the destination.

You have learned so much about kidney disease and treatments.  We hope with this knowledge you are determined that you and your loved ones will not ever experience what I and my Family are going through.  Please talk to your doctor about lifestyle changes you can make to minimize kidney disease affecting your life.

If you decide to donate a kidney you may do more than save my life.  You’ve seen a donor exchange video (Home Page, 2nd video in Why Living Donation Matters Section) where a single donor can save multiple lives because your donation could be the key to creating a chain where multiple people get the kidney they need to live. I believe this is so important that I want to share this additional video with you.

If you have concerns about donating talk to the medical staff at BSW so you have the proper information to make an informed decision.

If you are unable to donate a kidney “PLEASE”  ask at least 5 people to visit this website, kidney4spouse.com.  Thank you!

Finally, I thank you so much for even considering kidney donation.  May God Bless you and your Family.
